Steven H. Greenfeld:
Steve received his Bachelor of Science degree in Management from the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University in 1984. Upon graduation, he worked as a certified public accountant with the firm of Kaufman, Davis, CPAs for three years before enrolling in law school at George Mason University in Arlington, Virginia. He received his J.D. degree in 1989 and began work as an associate for the boutique bankruptcy firm of Gins & Seeber, P.C., and in 1997 he became a principal of that firm and the name was changed to Gins & Greenfeld, P.C. In 2004, Mr. Greenfeld left that firm to start the firm of Cohen Baldinger & Greenfeld, LLC in Bethesda, Maryland. Steve Greenfeld is licensed to practice law in Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. He is a member of the Chapter 7 Trustee panel in Greenbelt, Maryland. He is a co-founder and former director and Bid4assets, Inc., an online asset disposition company and is a past chairman of the pro-bono bankruptcy clinic of the District of Columbia bar. He is a member of the Maryland Bankruptcy Bar Association and a member of the American Association of Attorney-CPAs. His articles “Preferential Transfer and Basic Letter of Credit Concept in U.S. Bankruptcy Cases” were published in the Letter of Credit Update in October and November 1999. He is a former member of the Board of Trustees of Shaare Torah Congregation in Gaithersburg, Maryland. He is also a co-founder and director of For Our Father Foundation, Inc., a private charitable foundation which seeks to raise funds for research into cures for Parkinson’s Disease. Steve is the father of four boys, Sam, Bennett, Avi and Max, and is active a coach and manager of their soccer and basketball teams.
